Lively events based around teaching and tasting Japanese food.
It is my passion... I learned about cooking from my mother in Japan, Kazuko Nagashima.
She implanted in me love for Japanese simple, home style cooking, hand made utensils and
the beauty of each season. While studying at Joshibi Art Academy I brought for my friends
my handmade wagashi, pickles, etc. They became so popular that we decided to meet once
a week to make them together, learning from one another. Soon my tiny Tokyo kitchen
was full of laughter. This is what I wish to bring back to life here, in my Potsdam home and
studio; the joy of cooking, when all our senses are playing a part.
Classes held at Gosha´s Kitchen in Potsdam are for a maximum of 9 students

I will teach you about specific ingredients, utensils and art of serving. Every food needs a
dish, if you wish, I can help you to make your very own pottery and take you for a tour
around my garden to enjoy and learn about culinary and medicinal plants from Japan.

We will learn about simple ways of home stile cooking,
balanced diet of natural seasonal ingredients, fermented foods,
healthy sweets and of course... green tea.
We will also talk about Japanese traditional kitchen utensils,
food presentation and beautiful hand built ceramic dishes.
Nothing without Dashi!
Miso, brown rice, bonito, and sea vegetables.
We will learn how to make fish, kombu and shiitake dashi.
